Gift
There is a gift waiting for you
It’s not wrapped, nor boxed, but it sure does have your name
It’s right outside your window when you wake
Right outside your door when you take the first step of your day
And this gift - it has no return address, because it will find you
Not by mailman, ship or plane, but only because it has your name
Not by a call, not by special order, but specially because it has your name
As if that’s all the cause it needs.
There’s a gift waiting for you
It’s not wrapped nor boxed, but you still have to open it
And when you do, be prepared for light
Light that is no less than human
Light that is no less than what you’ve expected yourself to be the first time you started to dream
So take the first step of your day
And the gift waiting to be opened will thank you
Thank you for partaking in the world’s little simulation of heaven
It may be a poor copy, but the world will try
And the world will give, if you will receive it
Open it, it’s in little bundles
In first little steps
In first little dreams
And the world will give if you will receive it
So be found, and open it, this gift is yours
It has your name on it.
